Gorilla Trekking

Depart Kigali in the morning and drive north through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills toward the Cyanika or Katuna border. After completing border formalities, continue into southwestern Uganda, passing volcanic landscapes and rural villages.

Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the afternoon and check in to your lodge. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trek.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before setting out on your guided gorilla trek. Trek duration varies depending on the location of the gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are found, enjoy one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural forest habitat — a rare and life-changing wildlife experience.

Return to the lodge in the afternoon to relax or enjoy an optional community or cultural visit.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kigali, crossing back into Rwanda. Enjoy scenic views along the way, with a lunch stop en route.

Arrive in Kigali in the afternoon, in time for your onward international flight or post-safari accommodation.
